Nearly twenty years ago, we jotted down our thoughts on some common trade words and phrases to give folks more insight about who we are and how we work. They still ring true.

Advertising

Most of it looks like something else. In order to communicate to your customer, you must first be seen and heard. We are driven to create advertising that screams out from the crowd.

Design

More than pretty pictures, design needs to convey a message. Not only should it be aesthetically appealing, it should also communicate a feeling or point of view.

Strategy

Strategic thinking is the basis of our work. It’s the foundation of every good idea, whether the idea is for an advertisement, direct mail campaign, radio commercial or promotional video. We do not suggest an idea until we are confident it meets strategic requirements and goals.

Ideas

That’s what we get paid for. Before we ever put pencil to paper, we think. Long and hard. We examine what you need and look for the best way to achieve your goals. The final solution is more than a combination of pictures and words. It’s a strong, compelling idea.

Words

More than a headline at the top of a page and a paragraph or two at the bottom, words and the visuals support each other to form a single idea. Simple is usually better.

Style

It’s not for us. It’s for our clients. If we had a particular look, then all our clients would look like us—not themselves. We strive to give each client an individual identity, a distinct style. We’re in business to get our clients noticed, not ourselves.

Fun

This isn’t a naughty word. If you have fun doing your work, you’re much more likely to do it well for a longer period of time. We’re in this business because we love it. It’s fun.

Profit

This isn’t a naughty word, either. Obviously, everyone in business is in it to make money. If they aren’t, they won’t be in business very long. We make a fair profit on every job. This way, we’ll always be in the business we love. And we’ll always be around to fulfill your advertising needs.

Capabilities

If you need it, we can do it. From planning to implementation, we have the resources, talent and ingenuity to meet all of your advertising, marketing and design needs.

Money

Much of the money we spend on services gets billed back to you, so we spend it like we think you would. Carefully and efficiently.

Planning

Don’t send your advertising out into the cruel world without some. And if a plan doesn’t work, change it. A bad plan is one that can’t be changed and the worst plan is no plan at all.

Relationships

The longer, the better. The more we know you and the more you know us, the better work we can do together.

Surprises

Yes, expect them. Pleasant ones. When we present solutions, we do our best to present new, fresh and exciting ideas and methods.

Other Surprises

In billing. No. Never. Each job begins with an estimate. That estimate shows every charge, line by line. And a bill will not exceed an agreed upon estimate by more than 10%. Period.

Promises

We get paid for solutions, not excuses. When we take a job, we make a promise. And we don’t break promises.
